1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Glorify 365 ("we," "us," or "our", a service of Mercs LLC) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our book summary platform and companion mobile app (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

Account Information: Your email address (collected at registration and used to identify your account), and profile info (provided by you through our app or website and used to personalize delivered services).

Payment Information: Billing details necessary to process your subscription are handled directly by our payment processor. We retain records of transactions (amount, date, subscription status) for financial and legal record-keeping purposes, but we do not store your full payment card details on our systems.

Usage Data: Your reading history, bookmarks, notes, etc within the Service. This data is stored on our servers and synchronized across your devices and platforms.

Notification Preferences and Content: Preferences and content related to in-app notifications are transmitted to and stored on our servers to enable consistent cross-device and cross-platform synchronization.

Communications: Records of your interactions with our support team, including messages sent and received.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to run the Service, communicate with you, and improve your experience -- nothing more.

Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and personalize your experience with the Service, including synchronizing your reading history, bookmarks, notes, and notification preferences across your devices.

Payment Processing: To manage your subscription, process payments, and maintain required billing and transaction records.

Transactional Communications: To send you account-related emails such as registration confirmations, password resets, billing notices, and service updates.

Marketing Communications: With your consent, to send you information about new features, content additions, and promotions. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at privacy@glorify365.org. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional or service-related emails.

Service Improvement: To understand how the Service is used and to develop new features and improve existing ones.

Legal and Compliance Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and enforce our Terms of Service.


4. Data Sharing, Disclosure, Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers needed to operate the Service, or when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service Providers (Subprocessors): We engage trusted third-party providers who process data on our behalf solely to deliver the Service. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Our Service currently relies on the following third-party providers, each of whom operates under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle your data:

Business Transfers: If the Glorify 365 app or platform is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or transfer of ownership, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This is not a sale of your personal data. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the Service prior to your data becoming subject to a materially different privacy policy, and any successor entity will be required to honor the commitments made in this policy or provide you with meaningful notice and choice.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Glorify 365, our users, or the public.


5. Data Retention

Your data stays with us as long as your account is active. When you leave, we clean up.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active.

If you request deletion of your account, we will initiate deletion of your personal data within a reasonable timeframe. A 30-day recovery window is maintained after account deletion, during which your account and data may be restored upon request. After that window closes, your personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems, with the exception of billing and transaction records, which we retain as required by applicable financial and legal obligations.

Accounts that have been inactive for an extended period may be subject to data deletion as described in our Terms of Service. We will provide notice before taking such action.


6. Your Privacy Rights

You have rights over your data. We honor them regardless of where you live.

EU and UK Users (GDPR / UK GDPR) have additional rights including: the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on your consent to process data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California Users (CCPA / CPRA) have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA.

Users in All Jurisdictions: We endeavor to comply with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction as they evolve, including but not limited to applicable US state privacy laws. If you have questions about rights specific to your location, please contact us.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard infrastructure and processors to keep your data safe.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encryption of data in transit via HTTPS/TLS, leveraging our provider's infrastructure and security services, and relying on our payment processor's PCI-compliant payment handling. We apply access controls within our own systems to limit who can access your data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work diligently to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.


8. Children's Privacy

This Service is for adults only. We do not collect data from children.

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.
